Description

Raw pistachios are typically ovate and have a smooth, curved shape, measuring about two centimeters in length. They are encased in a soft, yellowish hull, often blushed with pink, maroon, or purple-red hues, and speckled with tiny yellow spots. Inside the hull is a semi-soft, beige shell that protects the bright green, edible kernel. The raw kernels have a starchy texture, similar to a fresh bean, and a mild, slightly bitter flavor with a buttery and milky consistency. They also emit a citrus aroma. Sold in individual 5 LB bags.
